Baltic Sea Towing Agency escorts oversized cargo laden barge to Ivangorod
Two tugboats of Ust-Luga, Leningrad Region based Baltic Sea Towing Agency LLC (BSTA) "FELIX" and "MARTIN" on August 1, 2017 towed a Barge No2033 loaded with oversized, heavylift cargo on the Narva River to Ivangorod.
The barge was towed from the Port of Ust-Luga to the mouth of the Narva by the "TUR" (operator MTA Logistics).
The oversized cargo was a 940-tonne absorber with a length of 55 m and was intended for the Phosphorite Group, Leningrad region.
Baltic Sea Towing Agency LLC (BSTA) owns and operates a fleet of towing and engineering ships. BSTA operates in major Russian ports in the Gulf of Finland waters. The company's fleet comprises modern ice-class 5200hp ASD tractor tugs with FF capabilities. The tugs are able to escort large-tonnage dry bulk carriers and oil tankers. The fleet also includes small tugs and technical fleet to support underwater engineering, dredging, hydrographic and hydro engineering operations. All ships are equipped to carry out emergency preparedness to respond to oil spills or fire accidents.
