On July 26th 2017, the Ardmore Shipping team celebrated achieving one year LTI free days across the Ardmore fleet of 27 vessels – equating to over 1.7 million man-hours, the company said in its press release.
An LTI is defined as “Any work-related injury that renders the injured person temporarily unable to perform their normal work or restricted work on any day after the day on which the injury occurred. In this case, any day includes rest day, weekend day, scheduled holiday, public holiday or subsequent day after ceasing employment.”
The announcement coincided with additional news that two Ardmore vessels had also independently obtained three years LTI free days. The Ardmore Endeavour and Ardmore Sealifter achieved three years LTI free on June 26th and July 23rd respectively. In addition, the Ardmore Seaventure marked four years LTI free on July 7th, while the Ardmore Seamaster reached six years in March.
