Throughput of Big Port St. Petersburg up 9% to 30.34 mln t in 7M’17

In January-July 2017, Big Port St. Petersburg handled 30.34 mln t of cargo (+9%, year-on-year). According to the port authority, transshipment of oil products fell by 12% to 4.14 mln t, dry bulk cargo – climbed by 16% to 4.86 mln t, general cargo – up 1% to 7.16 mln t, transshipment of Ro-Ro cargo – up 70% to 662,800 t.

The port’s container throughput increased by 7.7% to 1.11 mln TEUs.

In 2016, the port handled 48.62 mln t of cargo, its container throughput was 1.74 mln TEUs.
