SSP-M newest underwater rescue equipment will be demonstrated at the Army 2017 Forum
SSP-M modernized underwater rescue equipment designed for Russian Navy underwater forces will be demonstrated in course of the Army 2017 International Military-Technical Forum, says press center of RF Defence Ministry .
The equipment was tested in the Rescue and Underwater Technologies R&D Institute of the Russian Navy in Saint Petersburg.
The SSP-M is a Russia-made equipment, which exceeds foreign analogues. The equipment allows to leave a distressed submarine not only through the rescue hatch but also through other linking devices as torpedo launchers and conning-tower pressure hull of a submarine.
At the moment, the equipment is being tested by units of the Russian Navy. It will be put into service of the Russian Navy underwater forces after the trials.
