The Admiral Vladimirsky research vessel of RF Navy’s Baltic Fleet, making a hydrographic cruise, left the Mediterranean Sea for the Atlantic Ocean and crossed the English Channel, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
At present, the vessel is going to the permanent stationing point – the port of Kronstadt – and is in the Northern Sea.
In the first August decade, the ship left the port of Limassol (Cyprus), where she replenished its reserves up to the established standards and headed for the port of Kronstadt.
On the way to the Russian shores, the hydrographic vessel’s crew is continuing to carry out oceanographic research – it performs a route survey of the seabed, inspects the anchorage points, gathers information for correcting navigational charts, guides and navigation aids.
The Admiral Vladimirsky left Kronstadt on April 6. In the framework of a single voyage the oceanographic vessel of the Baltic Fleet visited the ports of the Republic of Djibouti, as well as the Principality of Monaco.
