Sergey Yemelyanov takes the helm at state-owned Sevastopol Sea Port

Sevastopol authorities appointed Sergey Yemelyanov as Director of State Unitary Enterprise Sevastopol Sea Port (SEVMORPORT). The city government press office said the appointment has been approved by Dmitry Ovsyannikov, interim governor of Sevastopol.

Mr. Sergey Yemelyanov was born on May 11, 1971 in Perm. In 1993 Yemelyanov graduated from the Perm Military Institute of Missile Troops, 1993 – 2009, service in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation, Colonel. 2009 - March 2015 director of the department at United Engine Corporation; From March 2015 to August 2017 he was the Director of the Aviation Industry, Department of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia.

State Unitary Enterprise Sevastopol Sea Port was created by the decree of the Government of Sevastopol, June 2, 2014.

The Sevastopol Sea Port is a universal ice-free port located on the southwestern coast of the Black Sea, in convenient and sheltered from the winds bays. The port's basin with a total area of ​​15 sqm includes: the basin of ​​the Sevastopol bay with the canal and area of the River Chernaya, the water area of ​​the Cossak and Kamyshovaya Bay, as well as the Balaklava Bay, excluding several sites.
The port territory encompasses 28.9 hectares. The enterprise manages 11 berths of a total length of 1770 meters and depths ranging 6 to 10 meters, outdoor storage facilities – 74,000 sqm, indoor warehouses – 16,250 sqm. The port provides a wide range of services for ships, cargoes and crews operating the developed infrastructure, railway and crane tracks, roads, engineering networks and repair yards. The company employs more than 1,000 people.
