Throughput of Ukraine’s seaports in 8M’17 climbed by 1.6% Y-o-Y to 86.95 mln t

In January-August 2017, seaports of Ukraine handled 86.95 mln t of cargo, up 1.6%, year-on-year, says press center of Ukrainian Sea Ports Authority.

Transshipment of export cargo totaled 66.2 mln t (+ 2.4%, year-on-year), import – 12.26 mln t (+16.3%), transit – 7.49 mln t (+3%) including 2.86 mln t of coal (up over 2-fold). Transshipment of coastal trade cargo totaled 0.99 mln t (-68.4%).

28.33 mln t (+6.7%), Odessa – 15.85 mln t (- 2%), Nikolayev – 15.14 mln t (+5.6%), Chernomorsk – 11.17 mln t (+6.5%). The highest growth was demonstrated by the stevedore seaport «Olvia» - 27.3% to 4.59 mln t.

Container transshipment was almost flat, year-on-year, at 388,000 ТЕUs (-0.4%).
