MSC announces a new service between South America’s east coast and the Mediterranean

MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company announced a new service between South America’s east coast and the Mediterranean, improving port coverage and transit times.

The new MED/SAEC service will operate the following rotation:

Barcelona – Genoa - Fos sur Mer – Gioia Tauro – Valencia – Suape – Salvador – Rio de Janeiro – Santos – Paranagua – Itapoa – Montevideo – Navegantes – Santos – Rio de Janeiro – Las Palmas – Valencia –Barcelona

MED/SAEC service

MSC offers excellent connections to/from Buenos Aires, Rio Grande, Zarate, Vitoria, Paraguay and Rosario via MSC hubs in South America as well as to/from more than 150 ports in North Africa, East Med, Greece and Turkey, West Africa, Black Sea, Adriatic, Canary Islands, Red Sea and Middle East via our Med hubs.

This service will be jointly operated by MSC and Hapag-Lloyd with a fleet of eight modern vessels with improved reefer capacity.

The first ship southbound MSC Amalfi will depart Barcelona on 19 October 2017; the same vessel northbound will sail on 9 November 2017 from Paranaguá.
