Vympel Shipyard (Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region) says it dispatched two fast patrol boats of Project 12150, Mangust (Mongoose) built for Russian FSB Border Service, on 20 September 2017. According to the statement, the boats will be delivered to Sakhalin by An-124 Ruslan aircraft.
The loading performed by the Ruslan crew and the specialist of Vympel Shipyard took about 8 hours.
The fleet of fast patrol boats of Project 12150 on Sakhalin will thus be increased to 6 units.
The Mangust series boas were launched on May 17 and 23, 2017 accordingly. Then the boats underwent mooring, sea and acceptance/delivery trials.
