BHP has announced a global collaboration with top international universities to accelerate a deeper understanding of carbon capture and storage (CCS) in a range of subsurface locations.
Working with the University of Melbourne, University of Cambridge and Stanford University, BHP will contribute approximately US$3 million towards research to improve global understanding of CO2 storage and support the development of large-scale carbon capture and storage projects in the future, the company said in its press release.
