Kont to build 4 cruise terminals in the Leningrad Region
Kont will build 4 more berths in the Leningrad Region. According to the press center of the Leningrad Region Government, the agreement on cooperation with the infrastructure investor was signed at the Sochi Investment Forum.
The company is going to build berths in Vyborg, on the Svir river and on the Konevets and Oreshek islands.
Kont is also going to operate berths and develop unique tourist routes.
Investments into the project are estimated at RUB 1 bln.
“The Leningrad Region is an area of water bodies— development of water tourism, both domestic and international, is a significant and promising activities for us. Construction of cruise berths in landmark places will not only attract guests but also give an impetus to further development of the territory, said Aleksandr Drozdenko, Leningrad Region Governor.
In November 2017, the company opened a modern berth in the Staraya Ladoga. In 2018, it is expected to handle up to 10,000 tourists.
