Gazpromneft - Lubricants to supply products to Nornickel vessels
Gazpromneft-Lubricants has signed the agreement on supply the Nornickel fleet with marine lubricants. According to the arrangements, the company’s products will be supplied to the Arctic transport and icebreaker vessels of the mining and metallurgical company, the company said in its press release.
The products are intended for medium-speed four-stroke marine engines installed in container ships, tanker and icebreaker of Nornickel’s Murmansk Transportation branch. Engine oils are resistant to viscosity changes and able to prevent contamination in the piston zone as well as to prevent engine corrosion due to the increased level of alkalinity. In the first half of 2018, 80 tons of lubricants are planned to be delivered.
The Arctic transport fleet of Nornickel consists of modern vessels of reinforced ice class capable of operating in any water area. Dry cargo fleet provides year-round communication between the seaports of Dudinka, Murmansk, Arkhangelsk, Rotterdam and Hamburg. The Yenisei tanker delivers gas condensate to the European ports from the Pelyatkinskoye gas condensate field (the Krasnoyarsk region). In addition to transport vessels, the Dudinka icebreaker is used in the fleet for icebreaking and port operations in the water area of the Dudinka port on the Yenisei River.
