Throughput of port Kavkaz up 67% to 4.3 million tonnes in 2M’18
In January-February 2018, port Kavkaz handled 4,271,700 tonnes of cargo (+67.2%, year-on-year), IAA PortNews correspondent cites Sergey Safonichev, head of Azov Sea Ports Administration, as saying at the open meeting of the Basin Committee in Rostov-on-Don.
According to the port statistics provided to IAA PortNews, exports from the port grew by 24% to 123,000 tonnes, exports via the offshore transshipment facility surged by 104% to 1,176,000 tonnes, imports doubled to 33,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic grew by 68% to 2.9 million tonnes.
In the 2-month period, passenger traffic grew by 25% to more than 418,000 passengers.
Bunker sales at port Kavkaz increased by 27% to 21,000 tonnes.
The number of calls to port Kavkaz grew by 31% to 3,400 calls.
