Throughput of port Primorsk in 3M’18 down 19% Y-o-Y to 13.33 million tonnes
In January-March 2018, the port of Primorsk handled 13,336,000 tonnes of cargo, which is 19% down, year-on-year. According to the port authority, crude oil transshipment fell by 28% to 9,102,500 tonnes. Transshipment of oil products grew by 10%, year-on-year, to 4,233,400 tonnes.
In 2017, the port handled 57.60 million tonnes, down 11% Y-o-Y.
Port Primorsk is Russia’s largest oil port in the Baltic Sea. It is the final stage of the Baltic Pipeline System (BPS). The port is located in the Leningrad Region, on the eastern coast of the Bjyerkezund Strait (Gulf of Finland of the Baltic Sea).
