Shipbuilding - Ship Repair Corporation launches non-selfpropelled dredger for Lena Basin (photo)
On 15 May 2018, Shipbuilding - Ship Repair Corporation (Gorodets, Nizhny Novgorod region) launched non-selfpropelled dredger Vladimir Panchenko with a capacity of 1,000 cbm/h, RRR class «X О2.0 (ice 40) А», says press center of Rosmorrechflot (Federal Marine and River Transport Agency).
The ship designed by Rostov Central Design Bureau “Stapel” is being built to the order of FSI Rechvodput as part of sub-programme “Marine and River Transport” of the state programme “Transport System Development”.
Upon completion of the construction and outfitting in September 2018, the dredger will be handed over to the Administration of Lena Basin for operation at the Arctic rivers.
The dredger is intended for operation with sandy/muddy/sand-gravelly soils. It can be used for dredging, canal laying; land reclamation, dike construction.
Dredging depth 1.0 to 10.0 meters.
