The Coast Guard rescued seven people from a capsized vessel approximately 4 miles east of Horn Island, Mississippi, Sunday, the USCG said in its news release.
Watchstanders at Coast Guard Sector Mobile received a notification at 2:47 p.m. from Sea Tow that they had lost communications with a vessel they were en route to assist.
Sector watchstanders diverted a 45-foot Response Boat-Medium crew from Coast Guard Station Pascagoula to search for the vessel.
The boatcrew arrived on scene at 3:09 p.m. and located the vessel, which had capsized, and all seven passengers were in the water.
The crew recovered the people from the water and transported them to Station Pascagoula.
