St. Petersburg named best Baltic and Scandinavia destination for the third consecutive year
The major cruise web portal Cruise Critic has once again named St. Petersburg the winner in the Best Baltic and Scandinavia Cruise Destination category, says the port’s press center.
The most popular cruise destination in the region was chosen directly by tourists who left their testimonies regarding the city and the port on the Cruise Critic website and were balloted on the Cruisers' Choice Destination Awards 2018. The top five also includes Flam (Norway), Tallinn (Estonia), Geiranger (Norway), and Copenhagen (Denmark).
A Cruise Critic spokeswoman shared her feedback about the winner city saying that "We went to St. Petersburg during our last trips. The programme included a tour around the city and, in particular, we saw the incredibly beautiful Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood. One must definitely take this cruise".
Cruise Critic web portal is the largest community with more than 350,000 testimonies, including reviews of 500 cruise ships and 300 ports around the globe.
It is worth noting that the 2018 cruise navigation season is expected to score 262 ship calls and 595,800 passengers, with the record number of ship calls in the entire history of the Passenger Port of St. Petersburg.
