PortNews Media Group, a leading media outlet and maritime news provider, on the initiative of the Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, with the support of the Federal Agency for Sea and River Transport, will hold a roundtable discussion "Marine Robotics: Laws, Applications, Technologies", August 24, 2018.
The event is held as part of the program of the All-Russian competitions in marine robotics, the final of which is timed to the Eastern Economic Forum (EEF).
The roundtable will be held simultaneously at two venues via a conference call: at the Vladivostok based Admiral Nevelskoy Maritime State University hall. (16.00 to 18.00 local time), and in Moscow at the conference hall of Rosmorrechflot, 09:00 to 11:00 (UTC+4).
A free access live webcast will be available on IAA PortNews website. This will significantly expand the event participants, at least up to 1000 interested specialists.
The roundtable is held to discuss the regulatory and technological framework of the modern technologies application, including the conversion of military solutions for commercial maritime segment.
Participants of the maritime robotics competitions in Vladivostok will roll out their achievements in autonomous / remotely operated vehicles and unmanned boats design developements (competitors are the teams of law enforcement agencies and dedicated research labs of Russia, as well as developers).
The participants, other interested specialists will be able to discuss the prospects of the industry development in terms of the relevant national and international legislation, the needs of potential clients and the main technological trends.
