The Kransoyarsk Dam Shiplift, the unique hydraulic engineering facility and the only one of this kind in Russia, has performed its work smoothly for more than 40 years now, transporting ships on huge bath over the Krasnoyarsk Dam. This engineering facility was first tested during its pre-commissioning. On September 20, 1976 the first vessel was transported from the tail-water to the upper wall. From year to year, June through October, the shiplift operates without a hitch: there has not been a single ship damage accident so far during her transportation. The first overhaul of the structure was carried out between 1995 and 2006, including upgrading of the HYDROMEChanical equipment and engineering network, with corrosion-resistant coating of the rail-mounted ship bath. However, currently, the wear-and-tear level of steel structures is critical.
