Kalashnikov Concern’s Vympel Shipyard lays keel for freezer trawler of Project T30
Rybinsk, Yaroslavl Region based Vympel Shipbuilding Plant (Vimpel Shipyard, part of the Kalashnikov Concern) held on Aug. 16, 2018, a keel authentication ceremony for a small freezer trawler of Project T30, ordered by MTC Karelryba OOO, the shipbuilding firm said on Thursday.
The trawler was designed by Vympel in-house design department as inshore fishing vessel. The trawler has capability for primary processing and freezing of fish, delivery and offloading to the shore fishing plants.
The contract between the shipyard and the Murmansk based Karelryba was signed on June 30, 2017. Under the contract terms the fishing vessel is be built within a short time and delivered in 2019.
The newbuild project will allow Karelryba to claim quotas for catching cod and haddock in the Northern fishing basin (the Barents and White Seas).
General characteristics: LOA: 35.15 m; Beam - 9 m; Draft - 3 m; Max speed - 11 knots; Crew - 12 people, Hold capacity; 190 cbm; Endurance - 10 days.
