Okskaya Sudoverf Shipyard (part of UCL Holding) today August 20 handed over to the Customer, State Transport Leasing Company (STLC) the sixth shallow draft double hull oil barge "BELMAX 6" of Project ROB20, the vessel designer Marine Engineering Bureau said.
The series of ten vessels of “O” Class, New Belskaya type vessels are intended for transportation of petroleum products, primarily fuel oil, with a flashpoint of 61º C and above. The vessels feature improved level of environmental friendliness. The barges will be operated by Belmax Shipping Company on the Belaya, Kama and Volga rivers.
The contract for Project ROB20 oil barges was signed on October 31, 2017. Keel authentication for the BELMAX 6 was held on March 29, 2018. The barge was launched on August 15, 2018.
