Port of Long Beach box volume rose 11.3% in Jan-Jul to 4.64 million TEUs

Container traffic at the Port of Long Beach in January-July 2018 increased by 11.3% compared to the same period a year ago to 4,641,388 TEUs, the port container trade statistics showed.

The volume of loaded inbound containers in the seven-month period totaled 2,339,988, which represents a 9.5-percent growth, of outbound loaded containers increased by 11.3% to 932,962 TEUs. Handling of empty ones rose by 14.4% to 1,368,438 TEUs.
