In January-August 2018, the port of Vyborg handled 1,150,300 tonnes of cargo (+23%, year-on-year), says Baltic Sea Ports Administration.
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 27% to 1,074,600 tonnes including 685,600 tonnes 27% to 1,074,600 tonnes including 685,600 tonnes 27% to 1,074,600 tonnes including 685,600 tonnes of coal and coke (up 97%) and 361,900 tonnes of mineral fertilizers (+11%).
Transshipment of liquid bulk cargo including chemicals grew by 13% to 14,700 tonnes.
Transshipment of general cargo fell by 10% to 47,400 tonnes including 9,300 tonnes of metal scrap (+15%).
In 2017, the port of Vyborg handled 1.54 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year).
