In January-September 2018, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 2.320 million tonnes of cargo (+12%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of grain grew by 16% to 1.123 million tonnes, oil products – by 77% to 532,000 tonnes while coal transshipment fell by 18% to 460,000 tonnes, ferrous metal – by 41% to 59,000 toones.
Imports climbed by 11% to 80,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 41% to 900,000 tonnes while exports declined by 1% to 1.340 million tonnes.
In the 9-month period of 2018, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 601 arrivals and 582 departures including port fleet vessels versus 575 arrivals and 569 departures in January-September 2017.
