In January-November 2018, the network of Russian Railways loaded 1.18 billion tonnes of cargo, up 2.6%, year-on-year, the Company’s press center says.
In the reporting period the railways shipped the following goods: coal – 342.8 million tonnes (+5.2% year-on-year); coke – 10.2 million tonnes (+0.1%); crude oil and oil products – 215.5 million tonnes (+0.6%); iron and manganese ore – 106.4 million tonnes (+5.7%); ferrous metal – 71.2 million tonnes (+8.2%); ferrous metal scrap – 14.8 million tonnes (+2.7%); chemical and mineral fertilizers – 53.9 million tonnes (+3.8%); cement – 23.8 million tonnes (-6.5%); timber – 41.9 million tonnes (+5.9%); grain – 24.7 million tonnes (+25.9%); construction materials– 115.1 million tonnes (-6.8%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 18.4 million tonnes (-1.1%); chemicals and soda – 24 million tonnes (+1.1%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 32.5 million tonnes (-3.3%).
From the beginning of the year, freight turnover totaled 2,371.7 billion tariff ton-km (+4.4%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon run – 3,018.3 billion ton-km (+4.2%).
In November, loading totaled 107.3 million tonnes (+1.5% year-on-year).
In November 2018, freight turnover grew by 4.3% to 220.1 billion tariff ton-km. Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon run totaled 280.8 billion tariff ton-km (+4.3%).
