In 2018, Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port (Vladmorrybport OJSC) handled 4.54 million of cargo (+14%, year-on-year), says the stevedoring company.
The growth was registered in all key segments of transshipment: containers – 182,574 TEUs (+16.3%), fish - 330,000 tonnes (+21.4%), metal scrap - 440,700 (+8.5%).
Transshipment of dry bulk cargo grew by 218,000 tonnes with construction cargoes having gained 97,000 tonnes.
In the reporting period, Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port handled 54,946 railcars (+8%, year-on-year) and 844 vessels (+ 6.8%). During the high fishing season the port used to handle 8 ships simultaneously.
“The appraisal of the achievements has revealed the reserves that let forecast strengthening of current positions at a higher level”, says the company.
Vladivostok Sea Fishing Port JSC is one of the leading ports in Russia’s Far East able to handle up to 5 million tonnes of cargo per year including more than 200,000 TEUs. It is located on the southern coast of the nonfreezing Zolotoi Rog Bay. The quay line of 10 berths which is 2,020 m long, 10 km of railway lines and 3 locomotives enable the company to handle 71 wagons per day.
