“K” LINE was recognized as “A List,” the top rating, on climate change from CDP, which is an international non-profit organization (NPO) engaging in activities for realizing sustainable economy, in “CDP 2018 Debriefing Session” held on January 22 in Tokyo.
The“A List” is awarded to companies that are evaluated as global leaders in their response to climate change. From among the companies that disclosed their climate change information in response to a questionnaire sent from CDP on behalf of 650 institutional investors with total assets of over 87 trillion US dollars, 126 companies whose measures against climate change such as emissions reduction activities in the reported year were regarded as outstanding were recognized in the A List last year. Japanese companies number 20 among these and only 7 companies were selected for three consecutive years.
