IPEM forecasts loading on Russian Railways’ networks to grow by 1.6% – 1.9% to 1.31 million tonnes
According to the forecast of the Institute of Natural Monopolies Research (IPEM), year-on-year growth of loading on the networks of Russian Railways will make 1.6% – 1.9% to 1.311 million tonnes (excluding loading at the stations of Yakutia railway). The forecast is based on 2018 results and prospects of its dynamics and cargo mix changes.
IPEM forecasts that loading will be above the average level in the following segments: grain, mineral fertilizers, iron and manganese ore, metal and coal.
The following segments are expected to show flat results: timber, crude and oil products (slight decline) with loading of construction cargoes expected to decrease.
