Pilbara Ports Authority throughput down 1% to 55.7 million tonnes in January 2019
Pilbara Ports Authority has delivered a total monthly throughput of 55.7 million tonnes (Mt) for the month of January 2019, the company said in its release.
This throughput was a marginal decrease, less than 1%, compared to the same month in 2018.
The total throughput for the 2018/19 financial year to date is 405.4Mt, a marginal increase of less than 1%, from the same time last year.
The Port of Port Hedland achieved a monthly throughput of 42.2Mt, of which 41.7Mt was iron ore exports. The monthly throughput was a 1% increase from January 2018.
Imports through the Port of Port Hedland totalled 97,000 tonnes, a decrease of 18% from the same month in 2018.
The Port of Dampier delivered a total monthly throughput of 12.5Mt, a decrease of 9% from January 2018.
Imports through the Port of Dampier totalled 110,000 tonnes, an increase of 39% from the same month in 2018.
