Academic Council of Admiral Makarov University nominates Sergey Baryshnikov as University Rector candidate

The majority of the Academic Council of the Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping decided to nominate Sergey Baryshnikov as a candidate to the position of the University Rector to be considered by the Professional Licensing Board of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency  (Rosmorrechflot), says press center of the University. 

According to the University Charter, its Rector is appointed by the institution founder, Rosmorrechflot.

Sergey Baryshnikov, Doctor of Technical Science, Professor,  has been holding the post of the Rector of Admiral Makarov State University of Maritime and Inland Shipping from 2012 when the educational institution was set up through reorganization of two large industry-focused higher educational institutions - St.-Petersburg State University of Waterway Communications (SPSUWC) and Admiral Makarov State Maritime Academy (SMA) in the form of affiliation of the Academy to the University.
