Mitsui O.S.K. Lines, Ltd. has announced that the MR-type product tanker, managed by its group company, MOL Tankship Management (Asia) was honored by U.S. oil major Chevron Corporation for its long-term efforts to ensure safe operation, the company said in its release.
Chevron Marine Assurance General Manager Don Davis presented the testimonial to MOL Tank Asia Managing Director Ota in a ceremony held at MOL Tank Asia headquarters.
The vessel served Chevron under a long-term charter contract from 2007 to 2018. MOL Tank Asia employees, both land-based and at sea, are a united team that takes a comprehensive approach to safe operation. MOL employees have built a strong cooperative relationship with Chevron and their customers. Thanks to these efforts, the vessel operated safely with no major incidents during its 11 years of service.
