Throughput of Russian seaports in Jan-Feb’19 grew by 5.4% to 131.71 million tonnes

In January-February 2019, Russian seaports handled 131.71 million tonnes of cargo (+5.4%, year-on-year) including 56.06 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (-0.3%) and 75.65 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+10.1%), says press center of Federal Marine and River Transport Agency (Rosmorrechflot).

Seaports of the Arctic basin demonstrated the highest growth having handled 17.81 million tonnes (+ 27.2%) including 4.99 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+9.8%) and 12.82 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+ 35.6%).

Seaports of the Baltic basin handled 40.65 million tonnes (+2.0%) including 16.91 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (+1.7%) and 23.74 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+2.3%).

Seaports of the Azov-Black Sea basin handled 40.77 million tonnes (+0.2%) including 14.93 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (-11.9%) and 25.84 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+8.8%).

Seaports of the Caspian basin handled 0.95 million tonnes (+6.7%) including 0.41 million tonnes of dry bulk cargo (-22.8%) and 0.54 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (up 1.5 times).

Seaports of the Far East basin handled 31.52 million tonnes (+6.9%) including 18.82 million of dry bulk cargo (+ 7.0%) and 12.71 million tonnes of liquid bulk cargo (+6.6%).
