In January-February 2019, sea transport hub of Taganrog handled 426,000 tonnes of cargo (-11%, year-on-year), the Azov Sea Ports Administration told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period transshipment of oil products grew by 7% to 164,000 tonnes, coal – by 1% to 82,000 tonnes, ferrous metal – 3.3 times to 23,000 tonnes. Meanwhile transshipment of grain dropped by 36% to 136,000 tonnes.
Imports grew by 7% to 9,000 tonnes while exports fell by 14% to 276,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 7% to 141,000 tonnes.
In January-February 2019, the Harbour Master’s office of port Taganrog registered 113 arrivals and 103 departures including port fleet vessels versus 120 arrivals and 107 departures in January-February 2018.
