Port Bronka put into operation six Novatech roll trailers

Six brand new roll trailers Novatech have been put into operation in Port Bronka, length of one unit is 40ft with load capacity up to 100 tons. Intake of additional equipment was demanded by permanent growth of break bulk, heavy lift and project cargo, the port says in a press release.

Total quantity of 40ft roll trailers with load capacity up to 100 tons is 10 units.

MSCC Bronka (Multipurpose Sea Cargo Complex Bronka) is the only deep-water terminal in Big Port of St. Petersburg. It’s located in the South-West of St. Petersburg, outside the city down-town. The win-win location of Port Bronka is because of the direct access to the Ring Road and short approach channel. With its technical facilities MSCC Bronka can handle containers and all types of RO-RO and general cargo including oversize and overweight cargo.

Operational from December 2015, the terminal annually increases its cargo handling volumes by 2-fold on the average.

The terminal development plan includes an increase in container handling capacity up to 1.4 million TEU per year and 200,000 units of rolling cargo per year. Implementation of projects for development of railway and warehouse infrastructure at Port Bronka will increase the capacity up to 20 million tonnes by 2022.
