Major amphibious ships Caesar Kunikov and Azov have returned back to home stations after tactical airborne exercises at the Opuk training ground, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The ships participated in the exercise jointly with airborne units, where they practised loading and unloading of personnel and military equipment on the unequipped coast, and also carried out artillery firing at naval and coastal targets. They also participated in air defence exercise jointly with the Su-24M short-range bombers.
After arriving at the bases, the crews of the major amphibious ships of the Black Sea Fleet will continue to perform tasks in accordance with the combat training plan.
