Thailand Naval warships come to Vladivostok for the first time in 15 years
The warships of the Royal Thai Navy have made a business call in Vladivostok for the first time in 15 years, says press center of RF Defence Ministry.
The frigate HTMS Bangpakong and frigate Naresuan have moored in the capital of Primorye in the afternoon.
On behalf of the Pacific Fleet Command, the deputy commander the Primorye Flotilla the Rear Admiral Valery Kazakov welcomed the guests. He pointed out that such visits strengthen mutual trust between countries and help to grasp better each other.
Commander of the Royal Thai Navy detachment Real Admiral Chanin Phadunkin commended the Russian side for the hospitality extended to the Thailand seamen in Vladivostok.
After the short briefing for media outlets, the journalists were invented to visit one of the Thailand Navy warships.
As a part of the visit the wide-ranging cultural program is prepared for the guests: football and volleyball friendly matches, ships open to residents and guests of Vladivostok.
The visit of Thai Navy warships lasts up to April 17.
