Kozmino Oil Port conducts the OSR drills
Transneft - Port Kozmino OOO has successfully conducted exercises according to a scenario of emergency oil spill to test teams preparedness for containment and recovery of spilled oil products at its facilities. The terminal operator said the exercises took place in the basin of Kozmina Bay, near onshore and berthing facilities of Kozmino Oil Port.
The OSR drills scenario said the controller received an oil spill emergency alert. In connection with the emergency, an EOC was established to coordinate teams response to oil spill.
A total of 89 personnel took part in the exercises including an emergency response team of Transneft-Service branch and 20 units of special equipment deployed (different vessels, tugs, workboats, etc.). The teams arrived at the site installed containment booms and began recovery of spilled oil.
Transneft – Kozmino Port is part of Transneft (before June 30, 2016 - Oil Transporting Joint-Stock Company Transneft) and is the terminus of the Eastern Siberia-Pacific Ocean pipeline system (ESPO PS). Kozmino Oil Port The port was designed and built for transshipment of crude oil delivered by pipeline and railway to ocean-going tankers and delivered to the Asia-Pacific Region markets.
