Social allocations of Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg in 5M’2019 grew 1.7 times YoY

From the beginning of 2019, Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC (SP SPb, a company of UCL Holding) allocated RUB 12.3 million for implementation of its social programme, 1.7 times as much as in the same period of the previous year.

The growth of the company’s social expenses should be attributed to the increase of payments to its employees under the collective agreement. The total amount is RUB 8.8 million, 2.3 times as much as in the same period of 2018 года.

Financial support provided to employees with children, multi-child families, unwed mothers and other employee categories exceeded RUB 1 million, 34% more, year-on-year.

A special focal point of the company’s social policy is its veterans organization – ex-employees of the port received traditional quarterly payments as well as payments on the occasion of anniversaries. On the occasion of the Day of Memory to hornour Russian citizens who discharged their duty outside the Motherland, financial gifts were given to peacekeeping soldiers employed by the company.

A part of the amount was allocated for support of ports and compensation of employees’ expenses for family recreation activities. In February, the company organized a corporate event, winter sports contest, which involved more than 100 participants.

Sea Port of Saint-Petersburg JSC (a company of UCL Port – stevedoring division of the International Transportation Group UCL Holding) is the largest operator, rendering services on handling of all types of dry cargoes at Big Port St. Petersburg. It operates modern multipurpose specialized terminals for handling of general and bulk cargoes and specialized terminals for ro-ro cargoes and containers. In 2018, the company handled 7.7 million tonnes of cargo.
