A decision has been made to allocate RUB 4.1 billion of budget resources for modernization and development of facilities under the project on creation of a modern river fleet for cargo transportation in the Lena Basin and in the Arctic zone of Russia, says press center of RF Government.
By the Decree dated 18 June 2019, No 775, Zhatai Shipyard JSC (Zhatai settlement in the Sakha Republic (Yakutia)) will be provided with RUB 4.1 billion of budget investments in 2019–2021 as a contribution of the Russian Federation to the authorised capital of the company intended for modernization and development of facilities to create a modern river fleet for inland water ways.
The allocations are foreseen under the subprogramme “Development of the Northern Sea Route and Ensuring Navigation in the Arctic” of the federal targeted programme “Social and Economic Development of the Arctic Zone of the Russian Federation.
“Development of transport infrastructure in the Lena Basin is a key prerequisite for ensuring uninterrupted delivery of cargo to the Arctic regions of the Sakha Republic”, said Denis Manturov, RF Minister of Industry and Trade.
