In January-June 2019, the network of Russian Railways loaded 633.6 million tonnes of cargo, down 1.5%, year-on-year, the Company’s press center says.
In the reporting period the railways shipped the following goods: coal – 186.8 million tonnes (-0.4% year-on-year); coke – 5.4 million tonnes (+0.2%); crude oil and oil products – 115.1 million tonnes (-2.4%); iron and manganese ore – 59.2 million tonnes (+3.8%); ferrous metal – 38.2 million tonnes (-3.3%); ferrous metal scrap – 6.9 million tonnes (-0.2%); chemical and mineral fertilizers – 30.3 million tonnes (+0.9%); cement – 12.5 million tonnes (+5.9%); timber – 22.2 million tonnes (-5.6%); grain – 9.1 million tonnes (-36.4%); construction cargo – 60.1 million tonnes (-4.6%); non-ferrous ore and sulphur feedstock – 9.7 million tonnes (-2.5%); chemicals and soda – 13.1 million tonnes (-2.9%); industrial feedstock and moulded materials – 17 million tonnes (-3.1%).
From the beginning of 2019, freight turnover totaled 1,307 billion tariff ton-km (+2%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon run – 1,663.5 billion ton-km (+1.9%).
In June 2019, loading totaled 101.6 million tonnes (-5.4%).
In June 2019, Russian Railways carried 205.7 billion tariff ton-km (-1.8%). Freight turnover taking into account empty wagon run fell by 2% to 261 billion ton-km.
