Development of LNG bunkering hindered by lack of maritime infrastructure – Gazprom expert

Development of LNG bunkering is hindered by lack of maritime infrastructure, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Dmitry Khandoga, Deputy Head of Department, Gazprom, as saying at the 9^th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.

According to the speaker, with “today’s political engagement of gas when investments in gas are out of fashion, LNG sector is a great hope of the industry”. As for LNG bunkering, the expert says the process has begun but “with a slow pace”.

Dmitry Khandoga believes that a team of three key “players” is needed for efficient transition of transport to gas: regulation, production and infrastructure.
