Development of LNG bunkering is hindered by lack of maritime infrastructure, IAA PortNews correspondent cites Dmitry Khandoga, Deputy Head of Department, Gazprom, as saying at the 9th St. Petersburg International Gas Forum.
According to the speaker, with “today’s political engagement of gas when investments in gas are out of fashion, LNG sector is a great hope of the industry”. As for LNG bunkering, the expert says the process has begun but “with a slow pace”.
Dmitry Khandoga believes that a team of three key “players” is needed for efficient transition of transport to gas: regulation, production and infrastructure.
