In January-September 2019, port Kavkaz handled 26.816 million tonnes of cargo (-29%, year-on-year). According to statistics obtained by IAA PortNews regional correspondent from the port Authority, exports via the port’s offshore transshipment facility decreased by 21% to 11.6 million tonnes.
Exports from port Kavkaz surged 2.1 times to 1.228 million tonnes while imports plunged by 61% to 50,000 tonnes, short-sea traffic – by 38% to 14.508 million tonnes.
Transshipment of coal grew 3.1 times to 3.208 million tonnes, sulfur – 3 times to 2.935 million tonnes. Meanwhile, transshipment of oil products fell by 18% to 7.941 million tonnes, grain transshipment dropped by 37% to 11.320 million tonnes.
Bunker sales at port Kavkaz fell by 30% to 220,000 tonnes.
The number of calls to port Kavkaz fell 3.6 times to 5,587 calls.
