MARSA App to improve marine traffic and vessel service management for vessels calling at Abu Dhabi Ports

Maqta Gateway, an Abu Dhabi Ports company, announced at GITEX the development of a new mobile and web-based App designed to enhance marine traffic and vessel servicing.

MARSA, of which Abu Dhabi Marine Services (SAFEEN) and the Harbour Master of Abu Dhabi Ports will be key users, is a fully integrated app intended to simplify, streamline and speed up elements of port services, such as Vessel approval to enter Abu Dhabi waters, real-time monitoring of marine traffic, enhancing the process work flow of services related to vessel & ports, eliminating the need of manual paperwork by covering processes using electronic data. MARSA also enables users and customers to monitor the real-time operational status. It also provide access to various statistical and management reports to allow better visibility and control of port operations. MARSA also enable Organization to manage marine traffic and related vessel servicing with less manpower by eliminating manual paperwork.

MARSA`s Vessel Registration module is designed to provide full mobile compatible view to enable Harbour Master to monitor the vessel registration requests & statuses at any given time which ultimately improves the response time. MARSA has also equipped with a mobile application built for the Various Marine Operators such as Pilots, Skippers, Mooring crews, and Tug masters to record real-time operational events from their operational locations (Land or Sea) to ensure complete and timely Operational visibility to the Organization as well as customers(Vessel & Shipping Agents).

The MARSA is a fully integrated application with other related applications including Maqta Gateway’s Shipping Agent and PCS Terminal applications to ensure real-time data exchanges, allowing users to see the status of requests and operations at any time.

The MARSA App is currently in the pilot phase and is expected to be rolled out commercially towards the end of the year.
