On October 6, the NUTEP Container Terminal handled the three millionth TEU since the terminal started operations in 2004, DeloPorts says in a press release.
The jubilee container was transshipped from the Maersk Batam vessel to the new deep-water berth No. 38. The company completed its construction in the summer of 2019. Ocean-class container vessels up to 10 thous. TEUs can be received at the new berth.
Since the launch, over 35 thous. TEUs have already been handled at the deep-water berth No. 38. The NUTEP container turnover of in 9 months of 2019 reached 266,458 TEUs.
