The 3rd “LNG Fleet and LNG Bunkering in Russia” conference has opened in Moscow today, 22 October 2019.
The conference is organized by Russia’s leading media group PortNews with the assistance of RF Ministry of Industry and Trade and Russian Chamber of Shipping. PAO Gazprom is the General Partner of the conference.
The conference is highly topical amid the need to discuss implementation of projects on using liquefied natural gas (LNG) in maritime and river transport, determine the problems related to creation and development of the new sector, outline the ways of solution. Hot discussions at the conference and on its sidelines make it a popular event in the industry and a practical platform for networking of the most advanced LNG businesses and regulatory authorities.

The purpose of the International Code of Safety for Ship Using Gases or Other Low-flashpoint Fuels is to provide an international standard for ships, other than vessels covered by the IGC Code, operating with gas or low-flashpoint liquids as fuel. The basic philosophy of the Code is to provide mandatory criteria for the arrangement and installation of machinery, equipment and systems for vessels operating with gas or low-flashpoint liquids as fuel to minimize the risk to the ship, its crew and the environment, having regard to the nature of the fuels involved.
