New Ambassador of the Netherlands visits the Port of Gdansk

The Port of Gdansk Authority says that on 14 November 2019 it had the honour of playing host to the new Ambassador of the Netherlands, Daphne Bergsma for the first time. Madam Ambassador was accompanied by the Head of the Economic Department, Sanne Kaasjager.

The meeting was held at the Port Master's Office at Port Polnocny, where the Board of the PGA welcomed the guests. The visit was an opportunity to present the Port of Gdansk, primarily in terms of ongoing and planned investment projects. The topics of the Central Port and ensuring navigability of the Vistula River drew much attention.

Madam Ambassador emphasised the significance of the relations between our countries, as well as the centuries-old tradition of cooperation between the Port of Gdansk and the Netherlands.

The last point of the visit was a tour of the Deepwater Container Terminal Gdansk.
