In January-November 2019, the port of Rostov-on-Don handed 21.1 million tonnes of cargo (-7%, year-on-year), the Harbour Master’s office of the port told IAA PortNews.
In the reporting period, loading totaled 13.8 million tonnes (-7%, year-on-year).
Transshipment of transit cargo fell by 6% to 6.8 million tonnes.
Thus, unloading totaled 600,000 tonnes (-4%, year-on-year).
In the reporting period, transshipment of grain fell by 31% to 7.6 million tonnes, oil products – by 12% to 6.4 million tonnes. Transshipment of non-grain bulk cargo grew by 86% to 3.1 million tonnes, coal – increased by 12% to 2.4 million tonnes.
The Harbour Master’s office says the number of calls fell by 6% to 7,570 calls.
