Throughput of port Shanghai (China) in 2M’2023 fell by 4% YoY

The port’s container throughput fell by 8.7%

In January-February 2023, port Shanghai (China) handled 85 million tonnes of cargo, down 4%, year-on-year. According to the port authority, container throughput fell by 8.7%, year-on-year, to 7,45 mln TEUs.

Shanghai is a deep sea and river port of China. In 2022, the port of Shanghai handled 513.7 million tonnes.
