Grain exports via Rostov Oblast ports jump 20% (month-on-month) in September reaching 430,000 tonnes

The commodity was exported primarily to Turkey, Egypt, Libya, Iran, Vietnam and Indonesia

Over 590,000 tonnes of grain and grain products were cleared for export at Rostov Oblast ports in September 2023. This is a 20-percent growth on August figures (486,000 tonnes), showed the statistics of the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Supervision (Rosselkhoznadzor) office for Rostov, Volgograd, Astrakhan regions and Kalmykia.

The main importers of grain products were Türkiye, Egypt, Libya, Iran, Vietnam and Indonesia.

Rosselkhoznadzor said the grain products were accompanied by documents confirming their compliance with quality and safety condition, taking into account the phytosanitary import requirements of above countries.
