New transshipment facilities opened at Yuzhny port (Ukraine)
New complex has started operation at Yuzhny sea trade port (Ukraine). According to RZhD-Partner, the facility operating in import mode was designed for transshipment of tropic oils (investor- Delta Vilmar SIC, Ukraine-Singapore). The terminal has already accepted the second vessel with a deadweight of about 30 thou tons. New terminal has been built on the basis of berth No4 initially intended for methanol transshipment. The new terminal’s capacity is 0.3 million tons per year with development perspective of up to 1 million tons annually. According to the company, investments are estimated to amount $57 million including $17 million of the first phase (transshipment complex with storage facilities and pipe-line systems). The second phase is to include construction of facilities for refinement and treatment of oil cargo.
